More catch up pictures in this post :)

We’ve been going to the beach lots and lots! It’s one of our happiest outing places. And now it’s getting warm again :)

Also bushwalks

We sent happy smilie pictures over to Mark

And counted the days for him to come home

Until one morning the boys came into the bedroom, and there he was!

(Leo took this picture that morning :) )

So happy :)

In terms of learning about time passing, the boys also rediscovered their watches.
For a while I drew up lots of these sort of little pictures, to illustrate at what time we’d do stuff

Superhero costumes are part of our daily apparel (well, more the boys’ than mine).

The current favorites are spiderman, batman and pink butterfly boy with green truck boy.  The names refer to the print on their onesie pjs.

We played with green slime

And one day the boys received a parcel full of craft stuff!
Joy :)

That’s all for now :)

Until next time xx

Okidoki. I’ve gone through and edited the photos from the last 2 months or so, and now I shall post them.

I won’t do too much txt, they should all be rather self explanatory.

Deep thinking

Posted on September 27, 2014 by Jenny Posted in Uncategorized .

Here is a couple of conversation snippets I don’t want to forget:

“Mum, who made all the water in the world?” (asked by Ethan)

I had to take some time to think about that before answering.
I would have had to think quite a bit if asked the same question by an adult, and then on top of that I had to word and simplify the answer in a way that made sense to a four year old, while still being accurate.

These guys sure get me contemplating things I usually wouldn’t :)

And this, a couple of days ago, also by Ethan:
“Mummy? I wish I could have Leo’s heart, and that Leo could have my heart. ”
“Oh? Why is that? ”
“So that I could feel what Leo feels. ”
He was sad at the time, because Leo wouldn’t talk to him.

And this, just this morning, made me laugh:

Leo rediscovered a stuffed gingerbread man toy that one of Maria’s friends had made for him last Christmas.
It has a loop of string at the top to hang it onto the Christmas tree.
He was holding the gingerbread man by the string, rotating it super fast like  nunchucks, looking fierce and ready to fight, roaring “Look out mum, I’m fighting you with my ninjabread man!!”

Hello again

Posted on September 24, 2014 by Jenny Posted in Uncategorized .

Hello again :)

I haven’t written in over a month!
I just don’t feel like it at the moment!

But nevertheless, here a very quick recap :)

After two long months Mark finally did return from Queensland!
He’s been back for a good month or so now, and it’s wonderful :)

His reunion with the boys was just… amazing.
They were so incredibly happy to see him, both hugging and holding and cuddling him for a good half hour when they discovered him back home in the morning!
It was like Christmas, only better ;)

The next two days were like a family honeymoon, all of us perfectly happy and close and lovely.

By now things are a bit more back to normal, but it’s still different to how it was before Queensland.
We’re all much closer, especially Mark and the boys seem to have a much stronger relationship now.
I think it was a mixture of the boys maturing a bit more during those two months, and everyone missing each other, so that now both Mark and the boys really appreciate each other and spending time together.

Yay :)

Here he is, my lovely husband!

This photo was taken on our Mark and Jenny getaway, by the way.
A few weeks after Mark got back we went away for 3 nights, just the two of us!
This was the second and longest time we’ve ever been away from the boys.

It was so wonderful to be able to spend some uninterrupted time together, connect, and be lazy.
Afternoon naps!
It was marvelous.

Here we are, the gorgeous couple ;)

And coming home was absolutely wonderful too, to our two beautiful, utterly excited boys.

Sigh :)

I might post more tomorrow.
The lovely husband had two large cocktails and won’t stop talking ;)

Bye xx
